Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has lavished praise on his Quetta Gladiators teammate Mohammad Hasnain following their successful Pakistan Super League (PSL) campaign.
Hasnain, an 18-year-old pace bowler, stole the spotlight with his wicket-taking ability and for being able to bowl at around 150km/h on a consistent basis.
In the seven games he played for the Gladiators, Hasnain picked up 12 wickets at an average of 17.58.
Given all the promise he showed in the PSL, Hasnain was included in Pakistan’s squad for the five-match ODI series against Australia, which begins on March 22 in Sharjah.
With Sarfraz captaining the Gladiators to victory, he admitted that he was extremely impressed with Hasnain’s pace throughout the tournament.
“His pace is very impressive and he has the ability to surprise the batsmen on any surface,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.
