Tom Latham and Jeet Raval scored 161 and a career-best 132 as New Zealand continued to torment Bangladesh on the second day in Hamilton.
In addition Latham and Raval’s hundreds, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson was on the verge of bringing up his century at the end of the day as he finished unbeaten on 93.
Starting off the day on 86/0, Latham and Raval continued to add to their partnership and ended up building a 254-run stand, during which both of them surpassed their hundreds.

Bangladesh tried to do everything possible to get a breakthrough, but they were made to toil until the 70th over, where Mahmudullah dismissed Raval for 132, which came off 220 balls and included 19 boundaries and a six.
Latham and Williamson kept the runs flowing with a 79-run stand before Latham was caught by Mohammad Mithun in the slip cordon off the bowling of Soumya Sarkar for 161, which came off 248 deliveries and included 17 boundaries and three sixes.
Ross Taylor fell shortly after as he was trapped lbw off the bowling of Sarkar for four runs.
However, Williamson and Henry Nicholls steadied things with a 100-run partnership, during which both batsmen brought up their fifties, before Nicholls was clean bowled by Mehidy Hasan Miraz for 53, which came off 81 balls and included seven boundaries
Williamson and Neil Wagner, who was sent in as the nightwatchman, managed to forge an unbeaten two-run stand before stumps was called.
Williamson finished on 93, which came off 132 balls and included nine boundaries, while Wagner remained undefeated on one.

Sarkar was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets, while Mahmudullah and Mehidy claimed one wicket each.
New Zealand ended day two on 451/4, which gives them a 217-run lead, and will continue batting on Saturday at 11:00 local time or 22:00 GMT (the previous day).
