Pakistan spinner Imad Wasim has revealed that he treats every game he plays as his last in order to ensure he excels with the ball.
Wasim has been named Man of the Match for the first two Twenty20 Internationals against Australia as he took figures of 3-20 off his four overs in the first game. He then followed it up with figures of 1-8 off four overs in the second match.
“Yes, thanks to the Almighty, this is due to hard work I did while being injured, as it’s not easy to comeback into the team and perform like this so I am thankful to Allah,” Wasim was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “I played PSL and was unfit in that, then played CPL and then have come after playing domestic.
“I stuck to the basics in the beginning – if I get hit then thats fine but if he cant hit me, I will look to hit the wickets; I planned to bowl wicket to wicket.
“It’s a good comeback performance, it’s just that I always take each match as my last match.”
