The West Indies found themselves in complete shambles on the second day in Rajkot after India captain Virat Kohli and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja both scored centuries.
Starting off the day on 364/4, Kohli and Rishabh Pant converted their 27-run partnership into a 133-run stand, during which Kohli surpassed his century, while Pant was nearing his own hundred.
However, Pant never reached the triple figure mark as he was caught by Keemo Paul at short third man off the bowling of Devendra Bishoo for 92, which came off 84 balls and included eight boundaries and four sixes.

Kohli and Jadeja kept the runs flowing with a 64-run partnership before Kohli was caught by Bishoo at mid-on off the bowling of debutant Sherman Lewis for 139, which came off 230 deliveries and included 10 boundaries.

During his innings, Kohli became the second-fastest player to score 24 Test hundreds, needing 123 innings. He only trails behind the legendary Sir Don Bradman, who required 66 innings to accomplish the feat.
He also became the first Indian batsman and sixth overall to score 1,000 Test runs for three consecutive years. Former Australia opener Matthew Hayden leads the way on this particular list as he amassed 1,000 Test runs for five years in a row from 2001 to 2005.
Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav fell shortly after, but Jadeja and Umesh Yadav steadied things with a 55-run stand before Umesh was dismissed by Kraigg Brathwaite for 22.
Jadeja and Mohammed Shami forged an unbeaten 23-run partnership, during which Jadeja brought up his century, before India declared on 649/9, which is their highest score against the West Indies in Test cricket.
Jadeja finished on 100 off 132 balls, which included five boundaries and five sixes, while Shami remained unbeaten on two.
Bishoo was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets, while Lewis snapped up two, and Brathwaite, Shannon Gabriel and Roston Chase chipped in with one wicket apiece.
Trailing by 649 runs, the West Indies made a horrible start to their innings as Brathwaite was clean bowled by Shami for two runs on the 14th ball of the innings.
There was some controversy about whether Shami had bowled a no-ball as his foot seemed to be over the line, but the third umpire deemed it to be a legal delivery.
Shami struck again in his next over as he trapped Kieran Powell lbw for one run.
Powell opted to review the decision, but replays showed that the ball was pitching in line and going on to crash into the stumps.
Shai Hope only scored 10 runs before he was clean bowled by Ashwin, while Shimron Hetmyer also made 10 runs prior to being run out by Jadeja.
Sunil Ambris did not fare much better as he mustered 12 runs before being caught by Ajinkya Rahane off the bowling of Jadeja.
West Indies wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich failed to have an impact either as he was cleaned up by Kuldeep for 10 runs.
Chase and Paul managed to keep their wickets intact and put together a 20-run partnership in the process before stumps was called.
Chase ended up making 27 off 38 balls, which included four boundaries, while Paul remained undefeated on 13, which came off 15 deliveries and included a boundary and a six.
Shami was the most successful bowler with two wickets, while Jadeja, Ashwin and Kuldeep claimed one wicket each.
The West Indies, who still trail by 555 runs, ended day two on 94/6 and will continue batting on Saturday at 09:30 local time or 04:00 GMT.
