Welcome to the cricket highlights of the week. Without further ado, let the action begin!

Herath makes history in Abu Dhabi

Following Herath’s five-for, Yasir Shah took a five-wicket haul for Pakistan on the final day of the first Test. But, it was Herath who had the last laugh as he took six wickets to bowl Pakistan out for 114 and lead Sri Lanka to a 21-run victory. As if that wasn’t enough, Herath became the first left-arm spinner to take 400 Test wickets.

Rohit lights up Nagpur

Rohit Sharma put on a show for the crowd in Nagpur as he thumped a sparkling 125 to lead India to a seven-wicket win over Australia in the fifth ODI. Thanks to Rohit’s efforts with the bat, India also claimed a 4-1 series win.

Markram’s maiden hundred and Elgar’s 10th

Aiden Markram made up for the disappointment of missing out on his maiden Test century in the first Test in Potchefstroom by completing the deed on the opening day of the second Test in Bloemfontein. Dean Elgar also joined the party as he reached the triple figure mark for the second Test in a row.

Karunaratne shines in Dubai

Playing in Sri Lanka’s first-ever day-night Test, opening batsman Dimuth Karunaratne was not fazed by stepping into uncharted territory as he smashed an unbeaten 133 on the opening day to put his side in a strong position.
