Pakistan’s tour of the West Indies has been extended after two more Twenty20 Internationals were added to the tour itinerary.

Initially, there were only two Twenty20 Internationals, but now that number has risen to four. Futhermore, the dates of the two original Twenty20 Internationals have been changed as a result of the addition of the other two matches.

It is understood that the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) wanted the two additional Twenty20 Internationals to be held in Lauderhill, Florida on March 25 and 26, but it didn’t come to fruition as there were concerns about whether the Pakistan team would be able to get US visas on such short notice.

This is only the second time that a four-match Twenty20 series will be played between two Full Member nations as the first instance involved Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in January last year.

Pakistan’s tour of the Caribbean will now begin on March 26 in Barbados.
