Zimbabwe will play two Tests against Sri Lanka on home soil and also take part in an ODI tri-series that will involve the West Indies.
The two Tests against Sri Lanka will both be held in Harare and will begin on October 29 and November 6 respectively.
The tri-series, meanwhile. will get underway on November 14 and Zimbabwe will face Sri Lanka in the first match, which will be played in Harare.
Each team will play each other twice before the final is held on November 27. The last four ODIs and the final will be held in Bulawayo.
Sri Lanka’s tour of Zimbabwe was supposed to consist of two Tests, three ODIs and a Twenty20 International, but initially there were plans to scrap everything as the Test matches were not considered to financially beneficial and play an ODI tri-series that would include the West Indies.
However, it has now been confirmed that the Test series will go ahead as planned, while the three-match ODI series and Twenty20 Internationals has been replaced by the ODI tri-series.
Sri Lanka have played 15 Tests against Zimbabwe, with the subcontinent nation winning 10 and the other five ending as draws.
