Hamilton Masakadza hammered 93 not out as Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh by 18 runs, which subsequently saw the series end as a 2-2 draw.

After opting to bat first, Zimbabwe lost Vusi Sibanda early on, but it was the Masakadza show from the start to the end of the innings as he punished Bangladesh’s bowling attack to all parts of the ground.

Masakadza, who scored 93 off 58 balls, which included eight boundaries and five sixes, was well supported by wicketkeeper Richmond Mutumbami and Malcolm Waller, who made 32 and 36 respectively. As a result, Zimbabwe finished on 180/4 off their 20 overs.

Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza, Abu Hider, Taskin Ahmed and Shakib Al Hasan picked up one wicket apiece.

Chasing 181 to win, Mahmudullah was the only Zimbabwe batsman to have an impact as he scored 54 off 41 balls, which included five boundaries and two sixes.

Neville Madziva was the most successful bowler with four wickets, while Tendai Chisoro snapped up three, Sikandar Raza took two and Luke Jongwe claimed one.

Masakadza was named Man of the Match and Man of the Series.
