Sammy has not been given a central contract for the 2015-16 season

West Indies Twenty20 captain Darren Sammy and all-rounder Andre Russell have been cut from the list of centrally contracted players for the 2015-16 season.
Spinners Sulieman Benn and Sunil Narine, along with opening batsman Chris Gayle, also don’t feature on the list. Veteran batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul and all-rounder Dwayne Bravo were also not given central contracts.
A number of new faces – Jermaine Blackwood, Leon Johnson, Shane Dowrich, Shai Hope and Rajendra Chandrika – make up the list of centrally contracted players. Leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo and the pace bowling duo of Shannon Gabriel and Sheldon Cottrell were all given central contracts as well. The 2015/16 contracts run from October 1, 2015, to September 30, 2016.
