The West Indies found themselves in dangerous territory yet again as Australia’s bowling attack ripped through their batting line-up after captain Steven Smith and batsman Adam Voges both scored centuries.

Starting out the day on 345/3, Smith and Voges converted their 17-run partnership into an unbeaten 223-run stand, during which Smith brought up his 13th Test century and Voges his fourth, before Smith declared with his side on 551/3.

Smith finished on 134 off 177 balls, which included eight boundaries, while Voges remained undefeated on 106 off 166 deliveries, which included 12 boundaries.

Jerome Taylor was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets, while Kraigg Brathwaite chipped in with one.

Trailing by 551 runs, the West Indies found themselves in trouble early and they eventually went from 35/1 to 83/6.

Darren Bravo and debutant Carlos Brathwaite managed to put together an unbeaten eight-run partnership before stumps was called.

Bravo ended up making 13 not out, while Brathwaite scored three.

James Pattinson, Nathan Lyon and Peter Siddle claimed two wickets each.

The West Indies ended day two on 91/6 and will continue batting tomorrow at 10:30 local time or 23:30 GMT (Previous day).
