West Indies captain Jason Holder was fined 60 per cent of his match fee on Sunday for maintaining a slow over-rate during the first Test against Australia in Hobart.

Match referee Chris Broad found that the West Indies were three overs short of its 90-over target when time allowances were taken into consideration on the first day. As a result, Holder was hit with a heavy fine, while the rest of his team-mates were each docked 30 per cent of their match fees.

Should the West Indies maintain a slow over-rate in Tests within the next 12 months, Holder will be suspended.
