West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels has escaped being punished by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for making a throat-slitting gesture during his side’s 73-run win over Zimbabwe.

Despite being caught on camera making the gesture, the match officials did not submit any charges against him.

“The match officials have seen the incident and have decided not to lay a charge,” a source told AFP.

However, it is understood that the match officials did have an informal talk with Samuels about the matter after the match.
