The Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have all released big-name players heading into the 2015 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad got rid of Australia Twenty20 captain Aaron Finch, West Indies Twenty20 skipper Darren Sammy, India left-arm pace bowler Irfan Pathan and spinner Amit Mishra.

In addition to those four players, the Sunrisers Hyderabad also released West Indies pace bowler Jason Holder, Zimbabwe wicketkeeper-batsman Brendan Taylor and domestic players Venugopal Rao, Prasanth Parameswaran, Anirudha Srikanth and Manpreet Juneja.

The Mumbai Indians decided to cut ties with eight players, including veteran India left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan and spinner Pragyan Ojha.

They also decided to let go of Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Dunk, West Indies left-arm pace bowler Krishmar Santokie and domestic players Jalaj Saxena, CM Gautam, Apoorv Wankhade and Sushant Marathe.

The Chennai Super Kings released the Australian trio of David Hussey, John Hastings and Ben Hilfenhaus, along with Tamil Nadu all-rounder Vijay Shankar.
