Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has insisted that he doesn’t need to change his bowling action since he believes it is legal.

Hafeez’s comments come after he was reported for having a suspicious action while representing the Lahore Lions in the recently concluded Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20).

“I am surprised over my action being reported because I [have been] bowling like this for the last 11 years,” he said. “I have played six major world events: two World Cups and three World Twenty20s and nobody had ever questioned my action, this is a big surprise for me.

“I will bowl the same way I have been bowling throughout my career. I don’t bowl a doosra. I bowl simple offbreaks and that doesn’t come under chucking.”
