Mumbai Indians pace bowler Praveen Kumar has been ruled out for the remainder of the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) after sustaining a shoulder injury.

Kumar injured his right shoulder during Mumbai’s six-wicket loss to the Lahore Lions in Raipur.

Kumar will be replaced by 24-year-old fast bowler Pawan Suyal, who has represented Mumbai twice in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL).

He made his IPL debut in Mumbai’s 60-run win over the Chennai Super Kings, where he picked up the wicket of West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo. His next game came against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, in which he dismissed India batsman Virat Kohli.
