Afghanistan will play their first bilateral ODI series against a Test-playing nation when they tour Zimbabwe for four ODIs and two four-day matches next month.

The Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo will host all four ODI matches, while both four-day games will he held at the Country Club in Harare.

Zimbabwe were scheduled to host Afghanistan in January this year, but the series was cancelled due to the African nation’s financial crisis.

This series against Afghanistan will be important for Zimbabwe as it will help them prepare for the upcoming one-off Test match against South Africa and the ODI tri-series involving the Proteas and Australia in August.
