The West Indies have called up Jermaine Blackwood and Leon Johnson, both of whom are yet to make their Test debuts, for the second Test against New Zealand in Trinidad.

Blackwood and Johnson will replace opening batsman Kieran Powell and all-rounder Marlon Samuels as both players have been struggling to find some form.

Blackwood, 22, has played 16 first-class matches and boasts an impressive average of 40.38. In fact, he recently scored two centuries for the High Performance Team in their recent matches against Bangladesh A. In addition to that, Blackwood mustered scores of 94 and 118 for Jamaica in the final of the 2014 regional four-day competition against the Windward Islands.

Johnson, 26, has played 50 first-class matches and currently averages 33.18. He was selected for the second Test after scoring three half-centuries in two first-class matches against Bangladesh A.
