England batsman Michael Carberry has been included in the ODI and Twenty20 squad for the national team’s upcoming home series against Sri Lanka.
Carberry’s inclusion stands out the most since he recently made some harsh remarks about the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in an interview with The Guardian following the national team’s disastrous tour of Australia.
Carberry did not feature during England’s limited overs tour of the West Indies and in the World Twenty20 as well.
It is likely that Carberry will bat somewhere in the top three as he is accustomed to that position.

ODI squad (first three matches): Alastair Cook (capt), James Anderson, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Jos Buttler, Michael Carberry, Harry Gurney, Chris Jordan, Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, James Tredwell, Chris Woakes
