The match was abandoned without a single ball being bowled
Following a thrilling three-match Test series, which Australia won 2-1, all eyes shifted towards Port Elizabeth for the first of three Twenty20 Internationals between Australia and South Africa.
However, the weather refused to be a good sport and the match was eventually abandoned due to the relentless rain.
The second Twenty20 International is scheduled to get underway in Durban on March 12.
