Finn failed to play a single game against Australia

England pace bowler Steven Finn will miss the ongoing limited overs series against Australia after flying home to work on his bowling.

Despite being named in both the ODI and Twenty20 squads, Finn has struggled to find any form whatsoever.

Finn also failed to represent England in the recently concluded Ashes series, in which the national team were whitewashed 5-0.

Speaking about the decision to send Finn home, England limited overs coach Ashley Giles said: “Steven has been working hard over the last couple of months on technical aspects of his bowling, and Steven and the coaches all feel continuing this work out of the performance environment will be beneficial for him. He is one of our most talented bowling assets who has played and will continue to play an important role for England.”

Finn has also been named in England’s provisional 30-man squad for the World Twenty20 in March, but if he fails to drastically improve his bowling, then it is highly unlikely that he will be travelling with the national team to Bangladesh.
