A BATTING WITH BIMAL BREAKING REPORT: Its great to see Yuvraj Singh back in the Indian Test team, says Ian Bell

Bell is hoping that England can end their disastrous record against India during the upcoming series

England batsman Ian Bell is glad to see Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh back in the Test team and is relishing the opportunity to face him in the upcoming four-Test series.

Singh had been out of action for nearly a year in order to be treated for a rare form of lung cancer and Bell noted that his inclusion into the Indian side would make it that much harder to defeat them in front of their home crowd.

“He is a fantastic player. It is great for him to be back in the Indian team. When we are on the field (however), it is up to us. We want to win this Test series. We know he is a world-class player which is exciting,” Bell said.

Bell was also asked about iconic Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar and stated that while it was always a pleasure to watch him play, England’s priority would be focused on dismissing him as early as possible.

“Sachin is one of the best players of all times. Playing against him is an honour. You like to get him out but when he gets runs, it’s also quite nice to watch,” Bell added.

England have been criticised for their struggles in the subcontinent over the years and Bell mentioned that even though the conditions can be extremely tricky at times, his sole aim was to score runs and secure his spot in the Test team for future series.

“In the back of your mind, you are thinking about home and the excitement that’s going on over the next couple of weeks. (But) also it’s important to get the cricket right. It is a bit tricky but while I am here, I want to score as many runs in that first Test match,” Bell said.
