A BATTING WITH BIMAL BREAKING REPORT: Alvin Kallicharran interested in becoming Pakistan batting coach

Kallicharran believes he can help transform the Pakistan batting lineup into a powerful unit

Former West Indies batsman Alvin Kallicharran has announced that he is interested in becoming the new batting coach of Pakistan, but only if the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) invite him to do so.

Kallicharran was recently in Pakistan since he was the coach of the International XI that played two matches against the Pakistan XI in Karachi.

The two matches saw the return of international cricket to Pakistan since March 2009, when the Sri Lankan team were attacked by militants.

Pakistan’s recent failure in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Twenty20 prompted PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf into hiring a full-time batting coach.

Kallicharran stated that Pakistan were ready to host international tours once again and added that he was extremely impressed with all the arrangements and security measures taken by the PCB.
