Warne believes Australia must use every advantage they have in order to beat South Africa
Australia leg-spin legend Shane Warne has announced that the national team should be able to defeat South Africa in the upcoming three-Test series since they have the home crowd on their side.
Warne also noted that Australia’s familiarity with the conditions should give them an upper hand over South Africa, but added that the Australians should not underestimate the Proteas for one second.
The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Warne as saying: “When you’re at home, you’re expected to win. There’s no real standout side for me. Anyone can beat anyone and when it’s at home, I would expect Australia to beat South Africa, it will be a great contest – it will be the bowlers who are on display for both teams, they will really test the batsmen’s techniques. Young (James) Pattinson is really on fire here at the moment.”
The three-Test series is set to start on November 9 in Brisbane.
