A BATTING WITH BIMAL BREAKING REPORT: Is Ian Bell one big knock away from regaining his form?

Bell has not contributed with the bat against both Pakistan and Sri Lanka

England batsman, Ian Bell has announced that he is just one solid knock away from regaining his form.

Bell, who failed to make an impact for the England squad against both Pakistan and Sri Lanka, has only managed to score 34 runs in three innings for Warwickshire.

Bell, admits he is in desperate need to find his form before the upcoming first Test against the West Indies on May 17.

Speaking exclusively to BBC Sport, Bell said: “It’s just a matter of getting time in the middle, we’ve all been in these positions before and you’re just one knock away from it all turning round.”

Bell, believes that by maintaining his composure and practising hard, it will only be a matter of time before he starts to record those big scores.

“It’s been a tricky little period these last couple of months but, if I keep believing and keep doing the right things and keep training hard, then it will turn around again. You can practise and net and keep all the good habits that I’ve been doing over the last two or three years,” he said.

Bell and his England teammate, Jonathan Trott, will both be expected to play in Warwickshire’s championship match against Durham before the international schedule gets underway.

With Bell not performing to the best of his abilities, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will be watching how he performs against Durham in order to get a good idea whether he should be included for the first Test against the West Indies or not.
